Eggnog Bread Recipe

Enjoy eggnog this winter; it is a perfect meal for breakfast or snack time

You must give this recipe a try; I am pretty sure you and your family will love it. 

INGREDIENTS

  •  2 eggs
  •  1 cup sugar
  •  1/2 cup melted butter
  •  1 cup eggnog
  •  2 teaspoons rum flavouring extract or a little more rum
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •  2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  •  2 teaspoons baking powder
  •  1/2 teaspoon salt
  •  1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  •  1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

PREPARATION

STEP 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease the bottom of a 5 x 9-inch loaf pan.

STEP 2

Beat eggs in a large bowl. Add sugar, melted butter, eggnog, rum extract and vanilla extract. Combine flour with baking powder, salt and nutmeg and stir into eggnog mixture. Stir just until combined.

STEP 3

Pour into pan. Bake for 40 to 60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.

STEP 4

Cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Wrap in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator.
