Fried Fish

Fried Fish

Fried fish is the perfect Sunday lunch in many countries of Latin America, ideal for sharing with the family because it is an excellent dish for both adults and children due to its thin crunchy outer layer and its soft interior. This texture is achieved by adding beer to the batter instead of water or milk, the right amount of flour, and seasonings.

This dish is quite versatile; you can serve it with any side dish and a salad to liven up the final recipe. It is usually eaten with rice, mashed potatoes, or fries, sometimes served on a lettuce leaf with tomato slices around it. Another option is a corn salad with homemade mayonnaise. What to serve fried fish with

For this recipe, choose a soft fish, which is not heavy to eat and preferably boneless. Thus, you can use white fish such as hake, Brama australis, tilapia or tilefish. We recommend this because the batter for fried fish is already a bit heavy, that is why it is preferable to balance the dish with a softer fish.
