Italian Bomboloni Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Frying oil
  • 25g of softened butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp instant dry baker’s yeast
  • 1/2 lemon zest
  • 25g of sugar
  • 14 cl of milk
  • 300g of flour

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Make a well and add the warm milk. Mix well. Beat the eggs into an omelet and add them, mix again. Add lastly the butter and mix. Let the dough rest.
  2. After 2 hours, roll out your dough with a rolling pin, 1/2 cm thick, take a water glass and cut circles in the dough. Let the dough rest for 30 min.
  3. Heat your cooking oil, put the doughnuts, and cook 2 min on each side. Add powdered sugar and eat warm.
