Cuisine American
- 32 ounces frozen tater tots
- 3 cups cooked chicken shredded or chopped
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup milk or chicken broth
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix about 1 ounce
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese optional
- 1½ cups cooked bacon chopped, divided
- Sliced green onions optional garnish
Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and milk until smooth.
Stir in ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
Fold in chicken, 1 cup cheddar, mozzarella (if using), and 1 cup bacon.
Spread chicken mixture evenly in the baking dish.
Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top.
Bake uncovered for 35 minutes.
Sprinkle remaining cheddar and remaining bacon over the top. Bake 10–15 minutes more, until cheese is melted and tots are golden brown.
Rest 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with green onions if desired.
For extra-crispy tots, bake 15 minutes, flip tots, then continue baking.
If prepping ahead, assemble the filling and add the tater tots right before baking for the best crunch.
Reheat leftovers until they reach 165°F.
