Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds ground beef 80/20
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • cups beef broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream or whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • Fresh parsley for serving

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Mix the ground beef, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, breadcrumbs, egg, and Worcestershire until just combined.
  • Shape into six patties.
  • Brown each patty briefly in a hot skillet and set aside.
  • Melt the butter in the same skillet and sauté onions and mushrooms until soft.
  • Stir in the flour and cook for a minute.
  • Slowly whisk in the broth until smooth.
  • Add the cream, thyme, and parsley. Simmer one minute.
  • Spread onions and mushrooms in a baking dish.
  • Place patties on top and pour gravy over everything.
  • Bake 40–45 minutes until bubbling and cooked through.
  • Rest a few minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.
