Sausage and Cream Cheese Biscuit Bites

Sausage and Cream Cheese Biscuit Bites

I love these Sausage and Cream Cheese Biscuit Bites because each bite bursts with flavor, taking you straight to food heaven. This recipe is not only delicious but also quick and easy to prepare with just a few ingredients. In this article on Ineskohl Kitchen, I’ll guide you through the best way to bake these irresistible bites.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of sausage
  • 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 (12-oz) cans of Grands Jr flaky biscuits
  • 1 (8-oz) package of cream cheese, softened
  • 4-6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven: Start by preheating your oven to 370°F (188°C). This ensures the oven will be ready to bake your biscuit bites perfectly.
  2. Cook the sausage: In a large iron skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until it is browned and cooked through. Stir occasionally to break up the sausage into small crumbles. Once fully cooked, drain any excess grease.
  3. Prepare the filling: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix these ingredients together until well combined. If you want to add more flavor, sprinkle in the optional black pepper and garlic powder. Finally, fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon (if using).
  4. Prepare the biscuits: Open the cans of Grands Jr flaky biscuits and separate the biscuits. Gently press each biscuit into the bottom and up the sides of the cups of a pre-sprayed mini muffin pan, creating a small well in the center for the filling.
  5. Add the filling: Using a large spoon, scoop a generous amount of the sausage and cheese mixture into each biscuit well. Make sure to fill them to the top, as the filling will be the star of these bites.
  6. Bake: Place the mini muffin pans into your preheated oven. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Cool and serve: Remove the pans from the oven and allow the bites to cool slightly in the pan for a few minutes. Carefully transfer the bites to a serving platter, and they’re ready to enjoy!

Tips:

  • If you prefer a spicier version, you can add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or a diced jalapeño to the sausage mixture.
  • These bites can be served with a side of ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce for an extra burst of flavor.

Bon appétit!
